My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bourbon and Bear: The Dynamic Duo Ready for Their Forever Home!

Bourbon and Bear are two lovable brothers looking for a family who will keep them together, as they've been inseparable since birth! These Golden Retriever/Border Collie mixes are not only adorable but also incredibly smart and eager to learn. Born on January 12, 2023, they're young, energetic, and fully vetted, including being neutered and up-to-date on their vaccinations.

After finding themselves at the shelter when their previous family couldn't give them the time and attention they deserve, Bourbon and Bear are now ready to start a new chapter. They are perfect for an active family looking for two playful, loving dogs who get along with children and other pets.

These two brothers are a bonded pair-where one goes, the other follows. They'll bring joy, companionship, and lots of fun to your home!

Why adopt Bourbon and Bear?

Inseparable: Bourbon and Bear are best friends and must be adopted together.
Great with kids and other pets: They're friendly and social, making them the perfect addition to any family.
Smart and eager to learn: As Border Collie/Golden Retriever mixes, they're intelligent and love to engage with their humans.
Fully vetted: Neutered and up-to-date on vaccinations, they're ready to start their new life with you!
How to Adopt:

Additional adoption info

Before You Adopt: Please consider these factors before filling out an application:

1. Animals are expensive to care for. They require food, shelter, toys, grooming, and veterinary health and dental care.

2. Animals require attention. You have to clean up after their messes, protect them from anything that might harm them, and make sure they get adequate play time and exercise. Some require training, which takes patience, love, and commitment.

Adopting a Friend: Adopter will fill out an application to start the adoption process. We don't adopt on a first come, first served basis, but instead adopt based on what we feel is in the animal's best interest. We DO NOT ship animals.

Adoption Requirements:

1. Have verifiable identification

2. Be at least 18 years of age

3. If renting, have landlords consent to bring a pet to your home

4. All adopted pets must be spayed or neutered

5. All pets must leave the shelter on a collar and leash, or in a pet carrier

6. Agree to all terms of the adoption contract; ESHA reserves the right to deny any application
