My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rune is currently in a foster home, and not housed at the BCAS building, please place an application to show interest and give us your contact information to move forward.

Rune is my little princess, and has such a clear, sweetly curious and intelligent glint to her eyes. She has beautiful tortoiseshell markings that frame her face nicely. I personally find her to a well-rounded and (quite honestly) the perfect personality mix, she is a little sassy, playful but not crazy, sweet and cuddly but doesn't want to smoother you for love. She is full of eye squinches and loud purrs but also loves a good nap on a soft cushion or snuggle bed.

Rune loves with her siblings and playing in boxes and especially playing with her siblings in a box. She will chase just about any toy, but seems to have a special liking for her fluff ball. Rune has been largely hand raised and will need an indoor only home.

More about this shelter

The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
