My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Churro is just as sweet as his name. He’s full of cinnamon, sugar, and everything nice! If you’re looking to add more sweetness in your life, Churro is the dog for you! He’s pretty calm, and has a low to medium energy level. He’s friendly and enjoys being pet, but he also has an independent side where he’s happy to just spend time with himself if you’re busy. When you pet him he turns into a total love bug! Churro’s got the manners of a gentleman. He’s easily managed on leash and he doesn’t pull at all. He’s also a pro at sitting on command for a treat! He’s careful to always take his treats nicely from your hand too.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.
