Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**** Northern Illinois/ Chicagoland suburb adoptions only **** Applications must be submitted on newstartdogrescue.org to be considered for adoption. FULLY FENCED YARD REQUIRED*****
Meet Quinn! She is a beautiful Blue Great Dane puppy. Quinn currently weighs 52 lbs and was born on March 24, 2024. She and a couple of her siblings came to us at the beginning of October. They had not been properly cared for and due to the lack of nutrition and proper exercise, their body condition was very poor. Thankfully after being placed in wonderful foster homes, they have thrived and gained weight. Their skin condition has improved immensely, and they are working on their social skills too. Due to their poor start in life, they are smaller than the average Dane their age, but our vet feels they will catch up in time.
Quinn LOVES other dogs and is a huge snuggle bug. She has other dogs, kids and adults in her foster home and has grown so much in learning to trust people. She had very little socialization before coming to us so it’s been a work in progress. She is crate trained and housebroken as long as you are paying attention to her cues. She knows to go to the door to the yard to let you know she has to potty.
We are requiring an above ground, fully fenced in yard for her as well as atleast one other dog in the home. Her new family will need to continue to work with her on socializing with people as she is still fearful of meeting new people. She quickly warms up with patience and slow intros. Quinn will do best in a home where someone is home a lot as she is a little Velcro girl. Please do your research on having an XL breed in the home if you have never had a Great Dane before.
Local adoptions only. We do not adopt out of the state of Illinois. Quinn is being fostered in a private home. Appointments to meet her will be set up for approved adopters only. Her adoption fee is $500 which includes all age appropriate vaccines. She is spayed, microchipped and Heartworm negative. She has also been kept on both flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Please visit our website and fill out an application if you are interested. http://newstartdogrescue.org
