A23275 Melly is a brindle with white colored, approximately 6-year-old, 47- pound, spayed female, Pitbull.
She entered the shelter as an owner surrender on 10-31-2024 due to the fact the owner's failing health prevents him from being able to take care of Melly.
Melly is a friendly, easy to handle girl here in the shelter. Our staff says she is a super sweet girl that loves affection and being loved on. She was easy to leash, pulled occasionally, but well behaved during our walks. She has had some training and will "sit and "shake upon command. She has no interest in other dogs here at the shelter. The previous owner says she has lived with children and other dogs, but not cats. In addition, they say that Melly is house broken and has been to the dog park. Melly will be a loving, loyal companion in her new forever home.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
