Belinda is a Huskydoodle sometimes called Huskupoos.. She is approx 8 years old and 75 lbs, she was just a stary dumped on the streets and picked up by our local animal control,
She was severely matted and had to be shaved down, her coat is now growing back nicely
She has bad hips and we have consulted two Orthopedic Surgeons and one at Texas A and M. Medical college and all have said that as bad as they look she has no symptoms and seems to get around fine and yes they could do surgery but it would be better to put her on supplements and see how she responds.
She is thriving and you would not know there is anything wrong with her hips at all. shes a sweet girl and loves to lie on her doggie bed in an open crate or on a nice day she will lounge on the patio, she loves affection and is always coming up for head rubs,she will need grooming every couple of months or her coat can get pretty unruly, she gets along with the other dogs but is not lover of small
yappy ones that get in her face, she is a gracious middle aged lady that loves her nap times
we only adopt to experienced dog owners and no children under the age of 10 years

The total adoption fee of $400 ( and includes , the interstate health cert and transport ,spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, distemper ,canine influenza, and microchip. The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. Some of our dogs are still in Texas in foster care. Our application is online at

We require all adopters to fill out an initial application so that we can check references. We try to match our dogs with a family that fits the needs and individuality of our homeless pets. We work tirelessly to find the right homes with people who will love their pets for a lifetime. We do this through email, phone, and any other means of communication to ensure a good fit.
