Meet Crumpet! This adorable girl is about 6 months old and came to us from North Carolina. She is super sweet and loves treats and bones to chew on. She does great with other dogs and loves to run and play with friends here at the shelter. She has also lived in a foster home with children so she is known to do well around kids. Despite her brave and kind spirit, Crumpet has had to overcome some challenges in her life. As a young puppy, she was witnessed being thrown from a moving car while she was being dumped by her original owners. Luckily, a kind person saw this happen and immediately took action! They brought Crumpet straight to an urgent care where they discovered she had broken one of her legs. With splinting the injury and lots of love and care, Crumpet's leg has healed up well and doesn't appear to affect her walking or impact her life in any way. However, because there are no guarantees with how this could affect her in the future, we would like to give full disclosure and currently have Crumpet listed as a special needs adoption. Crumpet has shown us all that she won't let her sad past change the fact that she is a happy, loving puppy who is just waiting for someone to show her love and welcome her into their family! If you're interested in Crumpet, you can apply for her at capeannanimalaid.org/dogapp
