My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am looking for a foster.

If you can foster me please email fostersupport@thebondbetween.org

Hi, my name is Lulli. I am from Florida
I was displaced from a shelter in Florida after the roof collapsed due to a Hurricane. I am a very sweet girl who loves pets. I am heartworm positive so will need a foster who can take me to my appointments, don't worry though I can still be adopted before my treatments are over.

From her foster: Lulli is the sweetest little peanut! She adores her people and will greet you with the cutest little wiggly butt. She literally jumps for joy when I come home from work. Her favorite thing is to snuggle right up next to you, give kisses, and take a nap. She be perfectly happy just lounging on the couch with you all day. When she does play, she's a total goofball. She loves to play fetch with the tiniest of stuff squeaky toys.

Lulli requires slow introductions over the course of a couple a weeks or more when being introduced to other dogs in order to set them up for success, she is a very sweet girl but has been through quite a bit of stress in the past month and needs time and space to decompress in a home with other dogs.

I am currently being treated for heartworm disease. Heartworm is not contagious so your resident pets are not at risk! The treatment for this is 3-4 months long and requires a minimum of 3 appointments and strict rest/restricted activity. My adoption can take place during treatment, while TBB manages the financial responsibility of my heartworm treatment at The Bond Between Vet Center. Any other medical care needed outside of the specific care covered in the contract disclaimer, would be the responsibility of my new family.

Go meet their pets

The Bond Between's goal is to not keep any animals at our rescue office. The majority of our animals are living in foster homes until they are adopted. Occasionally, animals are living in our rescue office that are in need of a foster home.

If you would like to meet an animal at our office who needs a foster, please reach out to inofficeanimals@thebondbetween.org and fill out our foster interest form at https://www.thebondbetween.org/foster

For more information on fostering or adoptable animals, please visit https://www.thebondbetween.org.

More about this rescue

The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.

We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.

You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
