Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi! My name is Louise and I am from Arkansas.
I am about 3 years old and 10 lbs.
My foster mom says I'm the cutest little girl on the planet, and that she knows I'm going to make my forever family very happy!
Here are a few things you should know about me, to make sure we are a good fit!
1. I need to remain on a leash at all times outside. (Unless you have a privacy fence) I can jump a 4 foot gate, so I have no doubt I can jump a tall fence outside. Especially if I'm chasing one of those fluffy squirrel things. Once I am used to my yard and my people, I will stay in the yard only if my person is out there with me.
2. I would like to go to a home that has someone there more often than not. I need my people. I don't feel safe and secure alone. I will be very sad being left alone long hours of the day, and I will bark for about 5-10 minutes when first left alone.
3. A home with smaller dogs that I can run around and play with is preferred! I absolutely love playing with other dogs!
4. Cats. I'm not quite sure what they are, but they also scare me. I think if they are nice I will be okay, but if they aren't sweet I will cower in a corner and not move if it's near me.
5. I am potty trained, and do fine in my kennel at night, but also love to sleep under the covers with you.
6. I am a Velcro dog. I want to be on you at all times. I love to give kisses and snuggle into your lap.
8. Older respectful children only as I am very timid and scare easily. Potentially with time I will be fine, I'm just not sure.

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
