My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Shindig and I am from Arkansas.

From his foster: Shindig is probably the cuddliest puppy we have ever fostered! He LOVES CUDDLES, and LOVES kids! If you sit on the floor (or couch) he immediately wants to be in your lap. If you don't leave enough room on your lap, he will curl up behind in you in your chair. He also LOVES toys and playing both inside and out. He does great with dogs, cats, and kids! He loves to wrestle, tug, and play with other dogs, but after a good round of zoomies flops down for a nap. He loves to follow a kiddo around the house and does great with being "manhandled."

Crate training is going super well, he may just voice his displeasure for a little bit when you leave him home alone. He sleeps in a crate in our room overnight without a peep and sleeps through the night!

As far as potty training, he is doing great on a schedule and comes running for his treat when he's finished his business. He has been learning to ring the bell on the door to signal he has to go out, but he's not 100% solid yet and may have an accident or two, but he is smart and learning quick!

If you're ready for puppy snuggles and shenanigans, Shindig will make a great addition to your family!

From the Vet:
Shindig has a condition called color dilution alopecia. He will live with some level of hair loss his whole life, but this is not something that needs medical management at this time.

The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between!
