Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I am 3-4 months old and was a part of a colony in northern Minnesota, but I'm a social gal, though a little on the shy side, and can't wait to be a part of a loving family! I'd love a sibling or another friendly cat friend to hang out with!
I am traveling with my siblings Burt and Loni, and my other siblings Smokey and Bandit are joining The BB before we do! An of us can be fostered together, but we don't need to be!
Hi! I'm Loni, but my foster family calls me Velvet, because I am soft and silky, like velvet. I was very shy when I first moved in, but my foster family gave me respectable space and time, talked to me softly and gave me gentle pets and massages in my favorite hiding spot, and after about two weeks my sweet, silly, and affectionate personality has come out. I purr constantly and have the cutest, tiniest, sort of raspy little mews. I LOVE head rubs and rubbing against you and headbutting you, and I love, love, love being around my people. I follow them around and headbutt them. My foster canine siblings have been put in their place by me, and now we exist in the same space because I am in charge of them. The kids I have been around are 11 years old and are gentle and love to throw my toys around, so I love them, too. I also have a very loud human foster brother who makes very loud shrieks, so I'm not super startled by his loud noises anymore. I really love the feathers on a rope that my family makes fly around the room. I love jumping for it and chasing it. A couple of days ago, I crawled into my foster mom's lap, and I'm learning to understand being picked up, and also that things might come at me from overhead (like hands). I think someone must have been rough with me in that way, so I'm learning to trust those motions and being held. I am the CUTEST, SOFTEST little purry kitten and I can't wait to have my own family!

More about this rescue
The Bond Between is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that focuses on the bond between humans and animals. We were founded in 2009 as Secondhand Hounds. Since then, we have rescued over 29,000 dogs and cats with the help of thousands of fosters, volunteers, and supporters in our community. Our organization has grown from a rescue to a first-in-its-class animal wellbeing organization... now The Bond Between! We continue to provide safe shelter, proper veterinary care, and daily necessities for animals while working hard to help them build a bond with humans. We also focus on supporting the bonds that already exist between people and pets with our pet food shelf, respite foster care program, and focus on social services.
We wake up every morning saying YES to connecting people and animals, caring for them, and helping them fill each other’s hearts.
You can help support us today by donating, fostering, volunteering, or sharing The Bond Between.
