My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ziggy is the cutest, happiest boy! Thank goodness for the Good Samaritan who saw him get thrown out of a truck! Can you imagine that that is what someone thought to do?!?!

Ziggy LOVES hugs, he desperately wants to feel safe and loved, and then go run around and play fetch and come back for more hugs! Love this boy!!!

Look at his adorable “widow’s peak“ hairdo. And those EARS!!!! What great ears he has.

If you have TONS of love to share and are looking for a great pup, Ziggy just might be your guy. He is just about a year old, 45 ish pounds, maybe hound, doberman,  shepherd mix, just cute, cute, cute!!! And he is surprisingly heartworm negative!

Visit scoutshonor.org for more information on Ziggy!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

SHR will require an application and home visit for the adoption of any of our animals. The customary adoption fee is $150 for dogs $85 for cats.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Scout's Honor Rescue does not currently have its own facility to keep the animals in its adoption program. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog or cat at their residence until it is adopted. Consider opening your home to a dog or cat in need. You become the caregiver to a precious animal – their future is in your hands! It is incredibly rewarding to know that you have given that animal the two most precious gifts- Life and Love. For many of them, this is the first kind hand they have known.
