RILEY *** CONTACT KAT katkylabrescue@gmail.com *** RILEY ONE BREATHTAKINGLY BEAUTIFUL GIRL --GENTLE--CALM--SO LOVING!! RILEY IS A GORGEOUS, 4YR. OLD, PUREBRED GOLDEN RETRIEVER. THE FIRST THING YOU WILL NOTICE WHEN YOU SEE RILEY IS HER COAT, IT IS FLAWLESS, RICH RED GOLDEN COLOR, HER COAT IS SO SOFT IT FEELS LIKE VELVET, YOU WILL WANT TO PAT AND RUB RILEY ALL DAY WHICH AS MUCH AS THIS COMPANION PUP ADORES AFFECTION AND ATTENTION IS JUST FINE WITH HER!!! NEXT YOU WILL NOTICE HER EYES, THEY WILL MAKE YOU MELT, THEY ARE A DARK, CHESTNUT COLOR POSSESSING A LOOK THAT SAYS "LOVE ME" IT'S IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO. SHE IS ALSO A BEAUTIFULLY BUILT GIRL WITH A PROUD, GRACEFUL STANCE. HER COAT ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE FEATHERS BLOWING IN THE BREEZE WHEN RILEY MOVES, THIS PUP IN MOTION IS BREATHTAKING!! RILEY IS TRULY BEAUTIFUL BUT THIS GENTLE GIRL'S TRUE BEAUTY IS HER HEART AND SPIRIT. JUST CALL HER NAME AND THOSE GORGEOUS "LOVE ME" EYES WILL LIGHT UP, SHE WILL COME OVER TO YOU, TURN THAT ADORABLE HEAD TO ONE SIDE AS IF SHE'S SAYING "HI I'M ARIE NICE TO MEET YOU". SHE IS A DEEPLY AFFECTIONATE, GENTLE, CALM LADY WHO WILL COME CLOSE, REST HER HEAD IN YOUR LAP, AS LONG AS YOU WILL PAT OR RUB RILEY WILL STAY. RILEY IS THE ULTIMATE COMPANION A TRUE LADY, A PUP WHO'S HAPPINESS IS JUST BEING WITH THOSE WHO LOVE HER. SHE IS ALSO A VERY SOCIAL GIRL, SHE LOVES EVERYONE SHE MEETS AND ALL DOGS SMALL, MEDIUM OR LARGE, SHE SEEMS TO PREFER DOGS WHO HAVE THE SAME EASY, GENTLE DEMEANOR RILEY DOES(SHE'S EVEN FINE WITH CATS). WHATEVER YOUR DAY CALLS FOR IS FINE WITH RILEY JUST TAKE HER ALONG, SHE WOULD LOVE AN EASY LATE AFTERNOON BASKING IN THE SUNNY BAY WINDOW WHILE YOU WORKED ON YOUR COMUPUTER. PUPS LIKE RILEY ASK FOR SO LITTLE BUT GIVE SO MUCH LOVE IN RETURN. THEY ARE THERE FOR YOU 100%, A CONTENTED, BEAUTIFUL DOG WHO LOVES YOU WITH EVERY FIBER OF THEIR BEING. RILEY IS GRATEFUL FOR ANY AND ALL ATTENTION BUT SHE NEVER PESTERS OR DEMANDS IT. EVERYDAY IS A GIFT AND TIME WITH PUPS LIKE RILEY IS SO PRECIOUS. AT THE END OF THE DAY WHEN YOU AND RILEY HAVE SPENT THE DAY TAKING LONG WALKS, RUNNING ERRANDS AND JUST ENJOYING EACH OTHER'S COMPANY WHEN RILEY COMES INTO HER HOME SHE CONTINUES TO SHINE, THIS BEAUTIFUL GIRL ALSO HAS BEAUTIFUL MANNERS. WHEN YOU BUILD A FIRE AND SETTLE IN ON THE SOFA TO WATCH A MOVIE OR READ A BOOK, YOU WILL FIND RILEY CURLED UP AT YOUR FEET, THE LOOK ON HER FACE IS ONE OF CONTENTMENT AND PEACE, SHE IS WITH THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE WORLD TO HER, YOU, AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS. AFTER SPENDING TIME WITH THIS LOVING TRUE LADY WE FEEL THE HOME THAT WOULD MAKE RILEY'S LIFE COMPLETE WOULD BE ONE THAT IS CALM AND A HOME THAT MOVES AT A SLOW EASY PACE. SHE WOULD BE A DELIGHTFUL COMPANION FOR A SINGLE WOMAN, OR GUY, A COUPLE OR A FAMILY WITH GENTLE CHILDREN WHO WOULD ADORE HAVING RILEY AS THEIR BEST FRIEND. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Application, followed by an interview either by phone or home visit.

BEFORE YOU APPLY:
All known information about an individual dog is provided in it's listing. We do our best to provide accurate information, but adopters must understand that each home is different and the dog may behave differently in a new home. Dogs are creatures of their environment and you help make the dog what it will be.

Homes considering adopting a puppy must be prepared for:
1.) Flexible schedules for potty training. Puppies can only "hold it" for one hour per month of age (ex. a 4 month old puppy can only go 4 hours without a potty break).
2.) Crate training until the puppy is at least one year old, to prevent chewing on inappropriate things when you can't supervise.
3.) Socialization: The more positive and varying experiences as a puppy the better, both in and out of your home.
4.) Puppy behavior and life stages are equivalent to a human toddler. It takes at least a full year to have a calmer, well adjusted dog. Patience is required and when your dog's behavior is a positive experience for you and those around you, your patience will be rewarded tenfold, for years to come.
Please do not consider adopting a puppy if you have not thoroughly thought through the pros and cons of having one. So many people end up returning them after 3-5 months because they didn't realize the amount of work involved in raising a puppy.
Patience, appropriate toys, socialization, and obedience training are all musts. All are time consuming, and can be expensive.

All Dogs Require:Supervision with children and obedience training.
Adopters that want to have good dogs must be prepared to put the time and effort into training a dog. Any dog requires work and effort, but a well trained, well socialized dog is more than worth the effort put in to get them there.

Most of the puppies and dogs are vetted, fostered and lovingly cared for in the home state in which they were rescued.
