My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zuko, our handsome 3-year-old Pomsky who weighs about 25 pounds.  Zuko is learning the ropes of trust, love, and companionship! He requires a quiet, calm home with a secure, fenced yard to keep him safe. His new home should have few visitors and an owner experienced with fearful dogs. If there are kids in the home, they need to be respectful teenagers who are able to give Zuko time and patience to adjust.

This sweet boy is making progress on his house training and is comfortable in his crate. He gets along well with his foster dog siblings (who are all bigger than him) and would benefit greatly from having a confident canine companion in his forever home, as other dogs help him build his confidence.

As his foster mom shares, “Zuko is very sweet but still a very shy. Each day, he’s learning to trust people more. While he’s not a snuggler, he’s curious about being close to people and will follow you from room to room.” Though he’s still figuring out if he likes head pets, he’s showing more interest in connecting with people.

If you’re a patient, understanding dog lover with a calm home, Zuko might be the perfect companion to share your life with.

His adoption fee is $295  plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.

To be considered for adoption, you must first submit the application found at:
