My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

 Hi there! I'm Allie, an eight-year-old Siberian Husky with a sparkling personality and a heart full of love. I've been spayed and I'm all up-to-date on my vaccines, so I'm as healthy as can be. Pretty soon, I'll be getting a heartworm test to confirm I'm in tip-top shape. 

 Over the years, I've mellowed out a bit. I'm not your typical high-energy husky; I really just enjoy laying around and relaxing. Don't get me wrong, I still have those classic husky traits and intelligence,   but I'm much calmer now. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and kids, though I haven't had much experience with cats yet. 

 My absolute favorite thing in the world is taking an ice bath—it's the best way to cool off! I also love being around people and soaking up all the attention and affection.

Additional adoption info

Due to the current situation we are no longer allowing casual visits to the shelter. You will need to submit an application with the name of the dog or cat you are interested in adopting via email. Please visit our website www.petsaversshreveport.org to download an adoption application. Applications can be emailed back to us at petsavers@petsaversshreveport.org

Adoption fees for dogs range from $100-$250. All pets come fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested (for dogs).

The shelter is open seven days a week from 12pm to 4pm
Casual visits are no longer allowed. You will need to submit an application via email with the name of the dog or cat you are interested in adopting.

Petsmart Adoption Days have been suspended until further notice.

Every 3rd & 4th Saturday of the month from 11am to 3pm

Pet Savers is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 2005 and located in Northwest Louisiana. Our mission is to rescue, protect, and place abandoned or unwanted pets and provide funds for neutering, spaying, and other veterinary care.

Our precious rescues are cared for 7 days a week, 365 days a year by a special group of dedicated staff and volunteers.
