My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Unknown, likely yes
Good with kids: Yes, dog savvy children
Crate trained: Mostly
House Trained: Yes

Blanche is a spunky, fun-loving gal who’s ready to be your next companion! She would love to accompany you, whether it’s on errands or at the brewery. Blanche is a active, medium-energy gal, where she’s up for any adventure and loves to be mentally stimulated with a good puzzle feeder or a tough chew toy. She is looking for a patient family who's ready for a young pup and can set her up for success by providing structure and routine.

Blanche is friendly pup who hasn’t met a stranger. She is currently fostered in a multi-dog home and would likely be great with or without a canine sibling. Although she hasn’t been exposed to cats or kids in the home, she’d likely be fine with a cat or dog-savvy kid. Blanche’s favorite things so far include sun-bathing, belly rubs and curling up on the couch with you.

She is a smart gal, as she is food-motivated and eager to please. Blanche is mostly crate trained and fully house-trained. She is crated throughout the day and overnight without any issues. She'll likely bark and whine at first but does eventually settle and will continue to improve with structure and a regular routine. Blanche has had zero accidents since coming north and does best when taken out on a regular schedule and routine. She walks well on leash and enjoys her daily walks. She thrives on structure and boundaries, as she continues to navigate her new environment.

Blanche has a heart of gold with so much love to give- is she the one for you?

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
