My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPT ROSY! 🐾

Rosy is a spunky, playful kitty with energy to spare! This little sweetheart adores her feather toys and will happily chase them around for hours, pouncing and batting with endless enthusiasm. 🪶 She's a natural athlete who loves darting through the house, especially when she has her siblings to join in the fun. Chasing her kitty friends is one of her favorite pastimes, and she brings so much joy with her lively personality.

Rosy is also quite the conversationalist! 🗣️ She’s very vocal when it’s time for a snack or a bit of attention, and she isn’t shy about letting her humans know just what’s on her mind. Despite her playful nature, Rosy has a softer, more tender side. She can be a little shy in new environments and prefers her paws on solid ground—she’s not a fan of being picked up. But don’t be fooled; she has a big heart and is very affectionate with the people she trusts. 💖

Once Rosy feels safe, she transforms into a snuggle bug who loves gentle pets and cozy cuddle sessions. She enjoys lying close by and soaking up the love from her humans, letting her purrs show just how happy she is. Though she needs a bit of time to fully settle in, patience and her favorite Churu treats 🧡 are the way to her heart and will help her adjust more quickly. With a little understanding and a few tasty snacks, Rosy will soon be seeking out your company, asking for pets, and showing off her sweet, affectionate side.

** Rosy MUST go to a home with another active, playful cat. (Or adopt a 2nd kitty with her for ½ the adoption fee! Her siblings Molly, Jake and Beau are available too!) She needs a quiet, indoor-only home with plenty of room to run around, cat trees to climb on, and toys to play with. She needs a patient family who will give her lots of love, attention, time to adjust and playtime. **

Rosy does great with other cats after proper introductions. She is familiar with dogs, but she isn’t the biggest fan of them right now. Because she doesn’t enjoy being picked up, she would be best in a home without children. She is litter boxed trained.

If you’re looking for a playful, lively, and loving companion who’s always up for a little adventure—and a good "chat"—Rosy will be the purrfect addition to your home! 🏡🐱

More about this rescue

Friends of Community-Cats Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization, with an incredible team of volunteers, dedicated to rescuing and saving the lives of cats and kittens whom are abandoned, neglected, sick, injured, unwanted or would otherwise be euthanized in shelters. We work with multiple shelters in Utah and are part of the Best Friends Animal Society Coalition aiming to make Utah a no-kill state.
We take in the abandoned, abused, unwanted, neglected, geriatric and neonatal, sick and injured and cats with severe behavioral problems. We get the cats medical care, rehabilitation and bring them back to health and prepare them for adoption. We have a great adoption program in which we spay/neuter, vaccinate and microchip the cats and kittens before placing them into loving, adoptive homes.
We participate in Trap-Neuter-Return for community cats. We provide food, shelters and medical care for more than 100 community cats daily. We also assist low income families with medical care and food for their animals.
We are 100% volunteer and foster based and rely on donations from the public to keep our organization running. We mostly focus on cats, however we do help other animals as well, such as dogs, small animals and livestock.
Our director, Kali Cristaudo, founded this organization in 2012. Since then, we have grown so much, formed an incredible team of volunteers and have saved thousands of lives and we will continue to save more and more lives every year.
