Take the Pet Home
Bruce and two other bunnies came to us from a neglect case earlier this year. When our volunteers went to pick up the bunnies they were being housed in small dog crates and were covered with fur mats and infested with fleas. It took volunteers over six hours that day to medicate, flea comb, and groom the bunnies so they could go to foster homes. All three buns are very fluffy and have thick, soft fur.
Of the three bunnies, Bruce is definitely Mr. Personality. He is a spunky rabbit who likes to do things his own way. He likes to play with wood blocks on a string so he can toss them around. He is an excellent litter box user, but when he decided his first litter box was of insufficient size he let his foster mom know by using the shower as a litter box. An extra large box has now been provided to him. His favorite chew toys are palm leaf plates, and he also enjoys running through cardboard boxes, cat tunnels, and lounging under the bed. Bruce loves to be petted for long periods of time, but on his terms - if you are doing this wrong (going too fast) he will let you know with a tiny growl or a thump. Bruce is curious about what the humans are doing in the house and likes to watch them as they go about their day. If you are seeking to add a friendly and entertaining house rabbit to your home, Bruce would love to meet you!
We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!
Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
