Hi, my name is Marla. I am still adjusting to life here at HAV after 24 years in the same home!

Marla is a 15hh mustang mare. She was surrendered to our shelter after her owner passed away, and she is still getting used to her new surroundings. Marla knows how to halter and lead, and we are working on teaching her to respond to lead pressure. We think she would do well in a home that has worked with mustangs before, or a home that is looking for a companion horse for their own mare. She will begin training under saddle here once settled and may even make a riding prospect for the right home.
