Fabio is a large male neutered Black/Brown Tabby maine coon mix. He has a bit of weight to gain so he will be a robust boy in the 15-18# range. He was found abandoned in a park with a note stating they could not afford to have him groomed. He was infested with fleas and severely matted. The shelter tried to groom him and he was a bit spicy and that's when they asked the rescue to help out. Once in his foster home, he was given some meds to help relax him and he was shaved and bathed. He now sports his lion cut. Fabio gets along well with all his foster cat siblings and the resident dog. We feel he will do well in a home if other pets are present. Fabio has great litter pan habits and eagerly uses scratching posts offered. We are working to acclimate him to being brushed as his hair comes back in and this will need to continue in his new home. He is very spicy with any type of restraint so his new home will need to be aware he may need sedation for grooming and veterinary visits.
He loves to cuddle and is happiest laying on your chest while watching TV. He enjoys following the sun spots around the house and a few laps of zoomies daily. He is a little head shy and can get grumbly when he feels scared so a home without small children is best.
