My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Handsome Stranger!

Boy, is this kitty aptly named! He is soooo handsome and adorable! He has a Harlequin coat, or white with black splotches. It makes him extra darling.

This boy has a real purr motor! As soon as you start petting him and giving him a tummy rub, he immediately starts purring. When he's not basking in your love, he's very playful and loves chasing after little mice and balls, and he absolutely LOVES the wand toy! He also loves to climb! Handsome Stranger is a real athlete - he could put Alex Honnold to shame the way he races up a cat tree!

Handsome Stranger was born with an underdeveloped eye that is scheduled to be surgically removed, but he sees fine with his remaining eye and it's no big deal for him. He's currently on one medication administered twice daily to keep him comfortable as he awaits his surgery. We don't think that having one eye will diminish Handsome Stranger's adorability in the slightest!

Handsome Stranger has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, "FeLVies are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Handsome Stranger can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about Handsome Stranger's care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
