Burton became very interested when his foster parents moved into their new home. He knew right away that we were animal lovers, and decided to hang around. Burton was very approachable and friendly. He greeted us every time we came home and would hang with us when we sat on our porch.
One night, we discovered how he ended up in the streets. He belonged to a family that had him in his early kitten days and then decided to toss him outside because he was “bad”. We didn’t want to know further because it was already heart breaking to know that these people tossed him out like he was a piece of trash. Furthermore, any time we interacted with Burton, he has proved himself to be one of the sweetest cats we’ve ever met. He’s pure affection, nose kisses, cuddles and purrs.
Later in October, he got stuck in our neighbor’s roof. We still don’t know how he got in there but after they had to break a panel to free him, as well as another neighbor saying she would murder kittens if they came on her porch, we knew he wasn’t safe outside. We made it our mission to find the perfect home for him. Burton is a very sweet, energetic boy. He loves to play, loves to knock over his water bowl, loves making biscuits, nibble on your hand (lovingly) as cats love to give love bites, and will look into your eyes lovingly. He is very vocal, and is super curious! Due to his history, we want to make sure he finds a family that will see him for more than just a pet, a creature that feels emotions just like humans do. A safe home that will keep him inside only and never put him back on the street again.
Burton Conestoga is around 2 years old and is neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and litter box trained.
Adoption fee: $100 (plus tax)

* Your adoption fee helps to cover a small part of the costs of veterinary care. However, we strongly recommend that you take your new kitty to your vet for a check-up shortly after adopting to establish a relationship and a lifetime of regular check-ups and care.
