Dogs? Possibly, I have met other dogs successfully in the past. Make sure to bring any other pups in the home for a meet and greet to ensure it is going to be a good fit. Cats? No thank you! Kids? Yes please!
About Me: Hi, I`m Honey! I came to AVHS with an injury to my femur. I have since had Femoral Head Osetctomy surgery and am healing very well. I am incredibly sweet and love to make friends with new people. I am playful and the queen of cuddling!
If interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website by following https://www.ark-valley.org/adoption-matchmaker-application/. We recommend calling the shelter at 719-395-2737 after you submit your application to ensure that we have received it. You can also give us a call if you have any questions or would like to learn more about a specific animal. Walk-ins are welcome during our open hours Monday-Saturday 12-5pm, although an adoptable animal may be in a foster home instead of at the shelter, so we also recommend calling us prior to driving to the shelter to confirm the pet`s current location. If you prefer emailing instead, you can reach our staff at to info@ark-valley.org, however, time sensitive matters would be addressed quicker via phone.
Note: We do not DNA test our animals to determine breeds. The listed breed(s) are either an educated guess from staff based on physical characteristics, or from information given by their previous home.
