Hello there, I'm Chaos! Now, don't let my name fool you. I'm a total sweetheart, just a bit goofy. My journey to the shelter? Well, it's a funny tale. One day, I was chasing my tail (it's always up to something), and next thing I knew, I was inside a police car! Apparently, I had caused a minor traffic jam. Oops! But don't worry, I've learned my lesson - no more tail-chasing on the streets. I'm a playful, cuddly fellow, who loves a good laugh. I'm not sure about cats or kiddos, but I'm eager to find out. More about this shelter

The Windsor/Essex County Humane Society was founded in 1926 and incorporated in 1949. The Humane Society has a publicly-tendered contract with the City of Windsor to provide animal control and basic shelter services in the City. This is only a portion of the work done by our organization. In 2016 almost 12,000 animal came through the doors of our shelter and spay/neuter clinic. We can’t help them without your support.
