My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“I believe that fate has brought us here, and we should be together, babe” - Just like her namesake, Macy Gray has a low gravelly voice, and she loves to sing and talk to you, and snuggle on your lap or nearby to give you lots of kisses! She is approximately eight years old and is a very expressive “crooning singer” type of girl. She likes to say, “hello, please pet me!”, “give me more pets!” and talk about her day. Cat TV, soft music, cozy beds and blankets all make her very happy! She likes a cozy cat space, like a cat cave or tree. Macy is great with her scratching posts and you will often find her lounging on the back of the sofa, gazing out the window. She will tell you what she likes and wants something, and even tell you when something makes her uncomfortable. Macy Gray is just happy to be with you and loves your company. “I play it off, but I’m dreaming of you” - Macy loves her food, treats and wand toys. Her foster describes her as a half-zen and half-zest kind of cat who loves both playtime and rest time. Macy is the ultimate low maintenance, easy companion. Don’t let her age fool you! She is very agile and playful with her people. Macy Gray is a cat who loves her people companions and prefers to be with adults only, who can respect her space, read her body language and give her time to blossom at her pace. She MUST be the only animal in your home.

Not much is known about her past history, besides being found as a stray.

Macy Gray would like to leave you with these last words - “I try to say goodbye and I choke, try to walk away and I stumble. Though I try to hide it – it’s clear, my world crumbles when you are not near!” She can’t wait to be in her home at last with you!

More about this rescue

Home at Last Rescue (HALR) is a Registered Canadian Charity, that is 100% volunteer driven. Our goal is to rescue cats from substandard living conditions and give them the loving homes they deserve.

We provide medical care, emotional support and a loving environment while preparing them to find their forever homes. With no physical location, all of our cats and kittens reside in loving foster homes across the Greater Toronto Area until they are ready for adoption.

We receive no government funding and rely solely on adoption fees, donations and our fundraising efforts to support our initiatives. We believe there is a home for every cat and a cat for every home.
