My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I named this handsome fellow Spirit because he`s definitely a free spirit. He was brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 11/4 as a stray. Spirit is approx 2 years old and weighs 65 pounds. Though listed as a Husky, when checking with my Dog Scanner app I note that he is listed as having Akita and Korean Jindo Dog in his breed mix with perhaps some Canaan Dog thrown in for good measure. Spirit is a spunky high energy dog that can be a bit restless. It was raining outside so I brought him in inside to do his eval. He made it clear by whining and pacing that he did not like the confined space so i took him back outside where he was more cooperative. Spirit walks well on a leash. He may be house trained as he did his business outside. He knows the sit command, loves treats and takes them quite nicely. He is playful and loves quaky toys. He is friendly and has a pleasant nature. Spirit is ok with being petted but he is a fellow who has places to go, people to see and things to do so you have to catch him between all those activities to give him some loving.
