My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lily!

This adventurous little girl is a DSH brown tabby and is 11 weeks old (born approx. Aug 18/24). She is house trained, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and will be spayed once old enough. Until then she will be part of MAR's Foster-to-Adopt program.
Hi there, I'm Lily! I'm as brave as they come. I'm always up for a game of tag or a good old cuddle. I love making new friends and going on adventures. Plus, I've got a heart full of love to give. My tale is a sad one, my sister Lizzy and I were found abandoned, all alone in the forest when we were only 4 weeks old. Some nice people found us and brought us to MAR. I get along with all people and other cats, but I love my sister the most. We play together until we fall asleep! I am ready for a new home and some new love and adventures. It would be wonderful if Lizzy and I could stay together. Hopefully my sister can come with me, and you can enjoy our shenanigans!

As we are a rescue group, we don't have a shelter, just loving foster homes throughout Muskoka. Please contact us to make an appointment to see an animal.

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides adoption services for people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We also provide non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals.

We provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more: spay/neuter education, advice and referrals.

We have a screening process that includes an application, telephone screen and a home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone". We also contact their vet and do a reference check.

We are committed to helping people find homes for their pets because we care about our community and love animals.
