Hello, new friends! I'm Cypress, the handsomest beagle boy ever. I was recently rescued by Beagle Freedom Project from an animal testing laboratory. Most people don't know that animal testing involves experimentation on innocent dogs like me; did you? My foster family says I'm very sweet and brave! I love to explore the big new world around me and take in the new sites and smells. My tail wags all day long, as I'm so happy to finally be free! I love affection and being pet all over. I'm a true cuddlebug and all I want is to be your best friend. I'm learning how to walk on a leash and I'm making progress every day. I can't believe how big the world is! I'd love another furry brother or sister to show me how to be a dog. Will you make my dreams come true and adopt me?
I would prefer a home that has: other dogs, a fenced yard, lots of love!

Interview
If your application is approved, you will be contacted by our team for a pre-adoption interview.

Home Check
After your pre-adoption interview, you will join a video call with our team to complete a virtual home check.
4.
Take the Pet Home
Once your interview, home check, and reference checks are complete, you will pick up your new companion to begin an adoption trial.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
If, after an adoption trial, you decide that your new companion is your perfect match, you will then sign the adoption contract.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION PROCESS: Standardly, Beagle Freedom Project does not facilitate animal meet and greets. Instead, we begin all BFP adoptions with a trial-period; this is called ‘fostering-to-adopt’. At BFP, we believe that the best way for an adopter to be certain that an animal is their perfect match is by giving them an opportunity to truly know each other before finalizing an adoption. As BFP animals come from such traumatic pasts, they can often be shy upon a first meeting. Foster-to-adopt trials allow these special animals an opportunity to decompress and show their authentic personality before an official adoption decision is made.
