My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Smiley! My days are filled with chasing my tail, making new friends, and giving the best cuddles. I have energy to spare and love to play, but when it's time to wind down, there's nothing I love more than a good snuggle. My name says it all - I'm a happy, friendly puppy who loves to make people smile. I'm looking for a family who will join me on my adventures and share in the joy I bring. Adopting me means adding a bundle of joy and love to your home!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
