My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dak, a young, spirited bundle of joy who`s ready to make your days brighter. Dak`s energy is infectious; he`s always up for a game of fetch or a playful wrestling match. His goofiness is the highlight of everyone`s day at the shelter. He can turn a simple game of fetch into a comedy show with his silly antics. But don`t let his playful nature fool you, Dak is also a quick learner. He has mastered basic commands and is eager to learn more. Dak`s zest for life is something that everyone can learn from. He doesn`t let his circumstances define him, instead, he chooses to spread joy wherever he goes. Dak is not just a pet, he`s a companion, a friend, a source of unconditional love and endless entertainment. Adopt Dak and let his energy, love, and goofiness fill your home with happiness and laughter.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
