Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ellie: Ready for her True Furever!
Ellie is a sweet 10-month-old poodle mix who weighs in at a healthy 35 lbs. Her journey has been anything but easy, but her resilient spirit shines through every day. Rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation in May 2024, Ellie arrived at our organization frightened, covered in fleas and ticks, and unsure of the world around her. Having spent her early life confined to a kennel, she had never experienced the warmth of human love or the joy of a simple walk on a leash.
Thanks to the dedicated care of our loving foster families, Ellie has blossomed into a wonderful companion. With professional training under her belt, she is now crate trained, leash trained, and knows a variety of commands. Ellie is up to date on her vaccinations and has been spayed, making her ready for her forever home.
Just when it seemed like Ellie had found her happily ever after, her adoptive family faced changing dynamics and, regrettably, had to return her to our rescue last week. Despite this setback, Ellie remains a loving and adaptable pup, eager to find a new family to call her own.
Ellie thrives in the company of other dogs and is great with children and adults alike. However, she tends to be a bit too playful for cats, so a feline-free home would be best. She comes with her crate, leash, collar, raincoat, and a collection of toys, making her transition to a new home as smooth as possible.
We are looking for a loving family for Ellie, ideally with a backyard where she can sunbathe and enjoy the great outdoors. She would also be thrilled to have a doggy sibling to play with, as she adores the company of other pups.
If you’re interested in making Ellie a part of your family, please reach out to us at info@concernedcitizensanimalrescue.org. Together, we can give this sweet girl the loving home she truly deserves!
