Blu Girl has received a sponsorship from Harley!! Her owner, who adopted him from PRAR in 2022. They chose to pay it forward this year by covering Blu Girl's adoption fee, ensuring she finds a forever home in time for the holidays!
Blu Girl is an exuberant and highly energetic Heeler mix with a love for people. She needs training to improve her interactions with other dogs, stemming from an attack she endured as a puppy. Her playfulness knows no bounds, and she's active all day long! Blu Girl is the perfect companion for someone with an active lifestyle who has the time and experience to devote to a herding breed.
At 5 months old, Blu Girl is a Blue Heeler mix with a distinctive long tail. She tips the scales at 25 pounds and is still growing, expected to exceed 50 pounds as a fully grown, larger medium-sized dog. She's nearly house-trained, though she occasionally has accidents. Her affectionate nature makes her a joy to be around people.
Currently, Blu Girl is learning basic commands and has a penchant for jumping up to get attention. She needs an energetic family that can dedicate ample time to her, providing the mental stimulation and activities she craves. A home in the countryside would be her ideal environment.

More about this rescue
We are dog and cat lovers who want to help decrease the number of healthy pets being euthanized. We do this through adopting pets to caring homes and by spaying and neutering every pet before it is adopted out. We operate a Thrift store named Critters, which is volunteer run with all money brought goes to support our "No Kill" rescue. Critters is located on the same property as our shelter. We take in homeless animals because they are in need and are unable to help themselves.
