Say hello to this Gem!
Gem came to us from a humane case, and now she is ready to find a loving home! Gem is one affectionate girl. She loves to be picked up and cuddled. Gem enjoys being groomed. She sits very well when getting brushed and bathed! This happy-go-lucky girl walks nicely on a leash, and likes being outside. Gem and Hope are happiest together and they can often be found snuggling or playing a game of chase! We would also like to give a special thanks to Bethany for grooming Gem and getting all ready to be adopted! Gem does well with other dogs. She does well around cats. if Gem is your next snuggle bug, please fill out an application for her today!

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Check out all of the pets on our website and or stop in to meet them at the shelter.

2.

Submit Application

Submit an adoption application and wait for an adoption counselor to contact you about your approval.

3.

Approve Application

Come in to meet the pet and make sure they are a good fit. If you have a dog in the home we require dog to dog meet and greets.

4.

Take the Pet Home

Once you have found the best fit you will take the pet home for a two week foster trial period.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At the end of the two week period, come back into the shelter to finalize your adoption and enjoy your new best friend!

Shelter is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10-4:30. We also participate is various adoption events throughout the year.
