Marlee is a lively and social cat who thrives on interaction and loves showering everyone with attention. Whether she's following her favorite person around the house or curling up beside them, Marlee is always ready to be part of the action. Having been exposed to visiting older children, she handled their company well, showing her adaptable and friendly nature. Her playful spirit shines when she chases ball toys with bells or eagerly pounces on a laser pointer, keeping everyone entertained with her energy.
An active and curious kitty, Marlee finds joy in watching the world from the window, spending hours observing birds and passersby. However, in her excitement, she can sometimes overstimulate herself, so it's helpful to give her breaks when she needs them. With her bright personality and love for both play and companionship, Marlee would be a wonderful addition to a family that can match her playful energy and appreciate her affectionate side.

More about this shelter
The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.
To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.
There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.
We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
