Meet Lola 6855. Lola is the sweetest 3 Yo GSD that you will ever meet. Lola has kind of a sad history. Her and her brother Bentley were purchased from a breeder. Then the original owner had to re home them for a unknown reason. That person dumped her and her brother at the shelter. They were very close to being euthanized. Bentley went to one foster and I took Lola. Lola has been wonderful in every way. She is People friendly, Dog friendly, and Kid friendly. She is super gentle, and just wants to be loved and play. She loves to chase after a ball, and play with her foster brother and sister.

She's a little skittish with new people but warms up super quickly. She's so much better than when she first came to us, and I think she will only get better. She's house trained, and will go into a crate. She hasn't chewed anything, and we are leaving her out during the day. I'm asking that only approved adopters reach out to me. I also want to make sure that she will have free roam of the house. I don't want her in a crate all day. I would also love for her to go to a active family or one with another dog as she loves to play. Lola will make some lucky family the best dog ever.

Additional adoption info

An applicant first submits an application form with a non-refundable $10.00 (cash or check only) processing fee. VGSR reviews the application, then schedules an interview and home visit during which a number of questions are asked and the home is reviewed to be sure there is a contained/safe yard, and to meet the family involved. Once the application is approved, the applicant is asked to submit a $250.00 (cash or check ONLY) minimum adoption donation to VGSR to help defray the costs of getting the dog fully vetted and ready to be adopted, and the adoption is completed.

More about this rescue

We provide a valuable service by finding good homes for the German Shepherd Dogs in our care. In the seven plus years that we have been in existence, we have found homes for over 2,400 deserving dogs. We are currently enlisting active volunteers to help with the task of placing some really wonderful, but homeless, German Shepherd Dogs. Our goal is to place all GSDs that are accepted into our Rescue in loving homes in which the GSD and the family will thrive together.
