My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miko is still on the search for his furever home 🇨🇦❤️
He's currently in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, BC

Miko is a neutered Jindo mix boy, about 2½ years old, and 28 kg
He’s good and gentle with people and dogs and doesn’t chase cats. He tends to be scared of loud noises and sudden touches/movements. He's gentle and friendly enough with kids but wouldn't recommend a home with small kids due to his food-guarding issue. He will be good with an experienced adult-only household.

Miko has a medium-to-high energy level and is leash/crate/house-trained. He's not a barker. He loves long walks/runs and gets along with other dogs well.

Miko was found living outside with a short chain.

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.
