SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS - Graham is a wonderful little dog seeking the companionship of a wonderful adopter! Not only is he adorable, but he is super sweet. This happy fellow is very inquisitive, loves sniffing and exploring and makes a great walking companion! Graham came to us from a shelter in central NC where he had been found as a stray. Given his love for people, we believe he had been someone's beloved pet. He loves people and is kind to other small dogs. Fully grown at just 10 pounds, he is a perfect size for most homes! Graham will be neutered on November 26. Until his surgery has been completed, he is only eligible for adoption in the Richmond, VA area. He is in good health, fully vaccinated and has tested negative for heart worms. We are seeking a home with an adopter able to work from home or be at home the majority of the day to spend time acclimating Graham to his new life. A home without larger pets or small children, and with a fenced, secure yard is in his best interest. He will make a wonderful companion for a active person who enjoys both outdoor time and supreme cuddling!
Our adoption process starts with your email to carerescue@aol.com or Adopt a Pet inquiry. After we receive it, we will email you our prescreening questionnaire. Your answers will help us determine that your home and lifestyle matches the needs of Graham and our adoption criteria. Once determined, we will set up a private meeting with you and your family to meet Graham at a park near our private kennel just east of Richmond. After meeting him and determining that he matches your preferences for a pet, we will accept your application. A home visit by one of our trained volunteers is required for all adoptions, and we will speak with your vet to ensure that you are a responsible pet owner. More information on our website at www.carerva.com.
