My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hanson! Hanson is a 4 month old, 14 pound, Mixed Breed Pup! Hanson is adorably energetic, always down to play and chase her foster brothers and sisters in the yard. Once she gets her energy out, she is totally content to snuggle up on the couch for a chill evening with her favorite people. Hanson has met several other dogs, cats and kids during her time in foster care and she has loved them all!

After settling into her foster home, Hanson's foster family learned that she is great in a crate and is getting the hang of potty training. Her new family will definitely need to continue with potty training and leash training, but her foster family has seen her make great strides since coming into their home, so they are confident that she will pick up these skills quickly! She is eager to please and LOVES to be told what a good girl she is!

Hanson and her adorable ears can't wait to find her perfect match. If that sounds like you, apply today! Her adoption fee is $300.

To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

More about this rescue

Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue, Inc., non-profit and no kill, aims to alleviate the suffering of abandoned shelter animals by rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming them within our community.

We are proudly foster-based, meaning our animals live in homes, not shelters. This differentiates us and allows us to more thoroughly get to know our animals, ensuring they are matched with suitable, screened adoptive homes which meet our high standards.

As part of our commitment to the health and well-being of all of our animals and to reduce pet overpopulation in our community, every pet is spayed or neutered prior to adoption.

We are committed to ensuring the safety of our animals for their entire lifetimes so that they will never suffer abuse, neglect or abandonment again.
