Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Penelope!
Penelope is a sweet, 4-year-old, 6-pound Mini Poodle who is discovering the world for the first time-and she's so excited to learn and grow! As a former puppy mill mom, Penelope is still adjusting to her new life and is taking it one day at a time. While she may be a little unsure of her surroundings, she's already making amazing progress. With gentle, patient care, Penelope is blossoming into the loving companion she was always meant to be.
She's currently working on leash training and potty training, but she's a quick learner and eager to please. With time, she'll become the confident little princess she deserves to be!
Penelope is a true cuddle bug. She loves soft blankets, delicious meals, and playing with her foster dog sibling. She'd thrive in a home with another small, playful dog and would enjoy a family with kids aged 6 and up, who can offer her the gentle attention she needs.
Though she's okay with a crate, Penelope would much rather curl up in a cozy bed-preferably next to you! She enjoys car rides and is fine being left unsupervised around the house. More than anything, Penelope loves to be close to her person, and she's always ready to be your little shadow.
Penelope may need some extra TLC as she continues to adjust, but in return, she'll be the most devoted and loving companion you could ask for. With the right family, she's going to thrive and bring endless joy to her forever home.
Penelope is currently being fostered in Cincinnati Ohio. Her adoption fee is $450.
To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt
All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.
We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
