My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet RootBeer Float (female) and brother, Gelato, just 4 months old (As of November.). They came to us when their mom and siblings were found as Culpeper strays. The Good Samaritans kept mom and the kittens came in to care with Forgotten Felines.

Gelato and RootBeer love to romp, play, and climb, but also love to birdwatch out a sunny window and talk to the birds.  They are a bonded pair - always eating and sleeping together and grooming each other . They love to be held and cuddled and will often fall asleep, purring in your arms. They dream of having a home for the holidays.

Both Gelato and RootBeer are/will be dewormed, receive 2 FVRCP vaccines, a rabies vaccine, are combo tested negative, and are microchipped with a lifetime registration. You won't need to pay $20 every year to re-register - we have done it for you! Interested in these holiday treats? Please let us know by emailing or calling us at GoodMews22@aol.com. 540.717.4420

More about this rescue

Our rescue is dedicated to the cats that have been forgotten - strays that are shy and frightened, abandoned cats that once had a home and are trying to come into a home for shelter, cats that need a little more TLC than most to trust again.

These cats are struggling on our streets to be noticed, struggling for survival. They need our love, our compassion, our help.

They are the forgotten cats.
The cats that most rescues "don't have time for."

ALL cats deserve love.
ALL cats deserve a good home.
ALL cats deserve to be treated with respect and given care.

Given time, love, and nurturing, these cats become wonderful, loving housecats.

Our rescue is for the forgotten cats. In my home, they are known as the Shrinking Violets, and I have fought for their right to be loved, receive care, and the respect they deserve. Please join me with your support.
