Meet Koko! She’s a sweet, 1-year-old pup, weighing 40-45 lbs, with a soft white coat sprinkled with tan freckles. Koko has the floppiest ears and loves chin scratches! She’s a smart cookie and knows commands like sit, down, come, and stay—though she’s still learning to curb her enthusiasm! Koko is housebroken and has lots of energy to burn. She adores kids (she lives with two!) and is friendly with other dogs, though her play style is very energetic. Her thoughts on cats? Still a mystery!

Koko was adopted as a small puppy but grew up bigger than expected and now needs a new family. She’s currently living in NYC and would truly thrive in a home with a fenced yard, where she can run, zoom, and play to her heart’s content. She would be a great adventure buddy. Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
