My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Nanna! I am a pretty little 1-year-old, 12 lb Schnauzer/Shih Tzu mix and I’m looking for a forever home. I was dumped at a high school in Mission Texas and the kids were being mean to me, throwing things, scaring me, and I was already scared enough! Thankfully a teacher picked me up, called a friend involved in dog rescue, and when they couldn't find my owner I was brought to San Antonio to live in a foster home for 4 Little Paws. Now that I am spayed, chipped, and vaccinated I am ready to get this party started and find my future!

My foster mom says I’m a sweet and friendly girl, always happy, always wagging and I love everyone, even strangers, children, cats, and dogs. I am very playful, love doggy toys, and treats and my dream is to be a lap dog so I can get pets and tummy rubs while snuggled in your lap. I am well-behaved, only bark to alert, already housebroken, and know how to use a potty pad if needed. I don’t like to share my food bowl with other dogs, but I will happily share my toys. My foster mom lets me sleep on the bed with her each night and during the day I nap in a doggy bed on the floor. I’m just a great little girl ready to meet you. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so Inquire about me today and bring me home!

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
