My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ABOUT ME...
I have been so excited to tell everyone about myself! My name is Madison, but most people call me Maddy. I am a 6-year-old, chihuahua mix with stunning eyes. I became a part of rescue when my mommy became ill. Another wonderful family member took me in and was taking great care of me. She loves me a ton, but I get a bit anxious around the kids, therefore, she reached out to COPAW to find me a forever home. I know this was a hard decision for her, but it was also a necessary decision. I will never forget her love and kindness.

I AM GREAT WITH...
I love adults, other dogs, naps, and exploring my surroundings. My foster home does not have cats, so I am
not sure if I would embrace them or not. I sleep through the night without making a sound. I love to cuddle and be beside my human. I walk great on my leash. My foster mom says I am no trouble at all, I am so sweet and quiet it is unreal. I like to follow my foster mom and around just to see if she is doing anything fun.

I AM STILL WORKING ON...
Since I came to my foster mom's house I have had a few accidents. I was great at going outside to potty before I came here. She said not to worry, it is probably the change in environment. I am working hard and doing a lot better now that I have been here for a while. My foster mom does not put me in a crate, she does not think it is necessary, because I am a good girl, I do not mess with anything in the house. I have been working on my weight. It got a little out of control in my former home. I have made progress and
would like my forever home to continue to help me get my fabulous figure back.

I AM NOT GOOD WITH...
I am not good with kids. They are cute, but they make me a little anxious.
