My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet super chill Mickey, ready to relax on a soft bed in a forever home.

Mickey starts out slightly shy, but his truly adaptable, sweet personality emerges once settled. Mick boasts a friendly and social manner and is unafraid to seek attention from familiar and new human friends- especially if they want to pet him! While Mick spends most of his day cosplaying as a loaf on soft spots around the house, he has been known to seek some play time and likes to perch from a high spot to watch the comings and goings of all his animal companions. Mickey loves attention and petting, often rolling over so you can make sure his belly gets some scritches too. Mick is a huge fan of sleeping in bed and quietly snuggles up with you at night.

When Mickey first arrived in foster care, he was on a mini weight loss journey and succeeded; he now weighs in at his ideal weight of 12 lbs. Mickey has a history of constipation, so we have him on a twice daily med to assist with that, which should be continued until your own vet can either recommend the same or any new treatments. The meds are easy to administer- you just add to his food which he laps up eagerly.

Mickey was surrendered along with his brother Jagger, who is still with him in foster care. Mick and Jagger’s journey to PAWS resulted from a change at home, with a family member moving in who was allergic to them. Mick previously lived with and/or had exposure to dogs and kids, and he currently lives peacefully with multiple cats and a dog. Because of his go-with-the-flow personality, Mick could easily join a new family and fit in with your current brood.

Age: ~5 years old
