Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Heff Heff, short for Hephaestus a Greek God. He came into our shelter with 11 other dogs, and horrible living conditions. unfortunately all of his sibling have been adopted and he is left all alone and it breaks our hearts. he is a Jack Russel/Chihuahua/Pitbull mix and full of so much energy and life. He can tend to get a little mouthy when he gets excited, so we suggest kids 12 and older for this boy. He is pretty small in size with a whopping weight of 19lbs, which is as big as he will get.

The Lewis County Humane Society is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation which owns and operates a no-kill animal shelter on the Pine Grove Rd in Glenfield, NY. That shelter is contracted with the townships in Lewis County to house dogs brought in from the townships by the dog control officers. The shelter also houses homeless cats from the county.
Our shelter relies on the generosity of our supporters because shelter expenses far exceed our revenue. We greatly appreciate all your support which enables us to care for and find new homes for all the wonderful animals at our shelter.
