Hi - my name is Chico. I’m a male 2-year-old, 11-lb. possible chihuahua and dachshund mix (some people call that a chiweenie, though I look more on the chi side). After a short time to warm up to you, I’ll be your best friend and shadow. I love cozy blankets, and playing with my toys. I’m working very hard on my potty training, am mostly crate trained but prefer being out and about, and walk AMAZINGLY on a leash. I'm a medium-energy kinda guy, so if you love walks then cuddle time I’m your man. I’m great with big and small dogs, and have been introduced to cats and did well. If the home has kids, I would do best with older children, since young kids make me nervous. I’m also nervous around new things, but with love and patience, I quickly learn to not be afraid. I’m a happy, sweet boy when I’m given just a little time to get to know you. For my young age, I’m a calm and relaxed dog and I actually don’t bark all that much. I know sit, down, and a recall, and do fine riding in a car. I have gone through training to help me learn how to meet strangers so a family who is willing to continue that on is a must.
