My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile:  Brisket is a bite-sized cutie that is looking for a new home here in Seattle.  Brisket is a happy, well-natured boy that is friendly with dogs and easy to handle. He is estimated to be 8-years-old, and will need a foster who will help him continue his weight loss journey from almost 13 pounds down to his vet recommended weight of 8 pounds! Brisket   is bound to find a lucky family here in the PNW!

Foster Update:  Brisket is a happy, hearty 8 year old chihuahua boy who loves to snuggle, go for walks, and be your shadow. He enjoys being outside and is up for long walks and short hikes. Brisket is easy to handle and very friendly. He is shockingly soft. He is wonderfully neutral with other dogs, and tolerates but does not engage with the pesky teenage dog in his foster home. Brisket has not had an accident in his foster home and is crate trained. He is generally quiet but makes a variety of gerbil-like noises when separated from his humans, though he settles nicely. Brisket's ideal home would have humans who are home more often than not. We haven't seen Brisket around cats yet but suspect he would be cat suitable.

Brisket is down to about 10.5 lbs but still has more progress to go to his healthy weight of 8 lbs. We are looking for a forever home for Brisket who will remain committed to his health and weight loss.
