Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This 4-month-old baby doll has had quite the ride. Missy came to us when she was just about 5 weeks old with an icky botfly in her neck. After that was removed, she did two stints in foster care before finally settling down in our kitten room.

She's just the sweetest, softest, most purrrrfect little diluted calico you've ever met. She makes friends with all her kitten roomies, and loves romping and doing parkour with them all around the room. She would love to go home with one of them or where there's already a younger kitty for her to play with. Missy also loves people of all ages and is only getting snugglier the older she gets. She seems fine with nice dogs, too! Missy is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

1.
Submit Application

Fill out an application at the sanctuary or www.secondchanceas.org/adopt (Inquiries on online listings don't constitute an application)

2.
Interview

We will call your veterinarian and personal references. We'll also call you if we have questions or need more information.

3.
Approve Application

We will approve or deny the application. You may be approved to adopt, but not necessarily the same animal you originally applied for.

4.
Meet the Pet

This may be done before applying. You'll be asked to sign an adoption contract and to make a certain donation amount, rather than a set fee.

Additional adoption info

We are passionate about pairing animals in need with loving families who would best suit their individual needs. NOTE: You do not have to apply for a specific animal on your application. You can submit it as a "pre-application" for a certain size, age or breed of animal, and if approved, we can contact you if a possible match arrives at the shelter.

We are located in northcentral PA approximately 2.5 miles off Route 287 (please contact us for specific directions). Our facility is open 12-5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and 12-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. We are closed Mondays and Wednesdays but are happy to arrange appointments outside business hours.
