My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey ya’ll! My name is Macon, and I am a Boxer-Cur mix (possibly with a few surprises) born approx. 8/22/24.  and I’ve had quite the journey to get here – I flew all the way from North Carolina to Minnesota to find my forever home after Hurricane Helene and some pretty intense floods. I’m just a little pup, but I’ve already experienced so much! Now I’m ready to show you what I’m made of—love, cuddles, and some good ol' playtime.

I’m still a baby and I’m learning all the ropes of what it means to be a good girl. So far, I’m doing great with my potty training – I know to go potty in the yard (as long as my feet hit the grass, I’m good!) but DANG it is COLD up here, so be patient! My foster mom says I’m a fast learner, and I’m already making progress with my house manners.

I’m one of a litter of pups who were rescued, and momma didn’t come with us, so no one really knows my exact breed mix, but I think I’m a Boxer-Cur mix (or so they say!). Honestly, I think it’s kind of fun not knowing—who doesn’t like a surprise?! Foster momma says I don’t have a lot of big breed qualities as I have tiny feet, and I’m not growing too quickly. I LOVE eating breakfast and dinner, love cuddling, and playing with toys and other furry friends.

I live with two big resident dogs, and while we’re not always together (I had a little rough patch with a tummy bug when I first arrived, and frankly, the female in the home doesn’t always share well), we’re working on it. I’m super respectful of the two big dogs in my foster home—curious but polite. And my foster mom is teaching me that “sharing is caring,” so I’m getting pretty good at socializing!

I’m a playful puppy, so I’d love a family who has time for play, training, and cuddling. I’m still little, so I’m looking for a home that’s patient and ready to guide me through puppyhood. I’d be a great fit for a family with other dogs or just someone who has time to show me the ropes. I’m still learning, but I promise I’ll fill your home with joy and puppy snuggles in no time!

If you’re ready to give a sweet, playful pup like me a loving home, I’m ready to be your best friend! Apply for me and see if I’m the paw-fect match for you.
