My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diego came to us from Mexico. He was found tied up on a wall trying to escape a yard full of feces and algae water without food or water. His collar cut his neck severely while we was trying to escape. Though he is healed, sometimes the past can still haunt him.

Diego is completing a board and train program with Frankie and Friends Dog Training. He will come with free dog training sessions with her for one year post adoption!

- He's good with other dogs
- He does have resource guarding of food and must eat in his crate
- He has lived with cats before and will chase them so best to go to a cat free home
- Crate trained! He is quiet and not destructive when left alone in the crate.
- Loves to go for walks. He's active and young so loves to run and play as much as you'll let him
- He is learning how to pull you on skis
- He is good on leash and has learned to walk in a heel
- Loves his toys, and loves to chew

Check out his foster/dog trainers instagram page highlight of him to see his progress and how his training is going!

More about this rescue

“A Dog Rescue Doing More than Dog Rescue”
We are a young rescue (3rd year anniversary in Jan 2023), but we are here to lead the way of what rescue actually means and set the standard so others can follow.

We are doing more than just rescuing the dog.
We hold monthly group training classes for the community (yes, even those without rescue dogs).

We provide free training for our foster families.
We provide free training for our adoptive families.
We are doing more than just rescuing the dog, we are changing the pattern of surrendering by providing knowledge and education through our community.
It seems like a simple thought of course, but one that many rescue groups do not follow.
